If there’s one question Finneas gets asked a lot, it’s which artist he thinks is the “next Billie Eilish.”
The Grammy award-winning producer and artist discussed the topic with Hanuman Welch on ALT CTRL on Apple Music on Tuesday (April 28).
“Well, the only version of that question that I can get behind is who is the next person that will do exactly what they want and be deemed pop music? That verbiage I would understand, but to me it does a disservice to two things. It does a huge disservice to Billie, in that you could be a next Billie,” he explained of his superstar sister.
“It also does a huge disservice to anyone they claim Billie is the next version, you know what I mean? It does a huge disservice to Lorde. It does a huge disservice to Lana,” he continued. “And I think that to me it was like, it’s not cyclical in that way. Billie was nominated for album of the year, the same year Lana was. It’s not like you pass the torch and then you just retire.”
“I think the whole response to our art being so positive is that it rings true and it feels a unique thing and I feel that was the thing that we strive for in the beginning was to not conform to any preconceived notions of what we should be doing,” he concluded. “And I think Lorde did the same thing. I think Lana has done the same thing. They’ve both been influences of ours, for sure. I also was like, ‘Isn’t she a little new- .. for there to be a next of any?’ Do you know what I mean? Imagine if somebody was like, ‘Who’s the next Timothée Chalamet?’ It’s like, he’s currently Timothée Chalamet.”

Selena Gomez recently gushed about Billie Eilish and the teenager’s emotional single “Everything I Wanted,” which Gomez says made her cry when she first heard it.
“First I’ll say, just the understanding she has — she already knows. She’s so aware of what this industry can be and become,” Gomez told Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio show. “And when I heard that song, I just sobbed because I’ve been doing this for so long and it’s like, damn, that’s so true.”
“There’s so many moments where I’m just like, ‘Oh, it doesn’t matter who you are,'” she continued. “There’s moments in my life where you’re like, ‘is this it?'”
The “Boyfriend” singer included “Everything I Wanted” — which Insider previously ranked as Eilish’s third-best song — on a playlist she recently curated for Apple Music.

Since the start of March, the world has seen many changes. For shelters and rescues, there has been a major need for help, which led to many people fostering dogs in an effort to help. Celebrities especially have stepped up foster an animal in need, and that includes people like Antoni Porowski and Billie Eilish.
In fact, on March 17 Eilish took to her Instagram stories to share the news that she was fostering two puppies. The pups have spent the last month with the singer as she practices social distancing. And it seems that in the end, the singer failed at the whole fostering thing, but in the very best way.
According to One Green Planet, as of April 13, Billie Eilish has officially adopted one of the pups that she fostered over the last month. And have no fear, because it seems that the other pup she was fostering has also been adopted as well, even if that pup didn’t get to stay with the singer.
Clearly when Eilish told her followers back in March that the puppies were adoptable, she really meant it. And it makes sense that she might fall in love with these pups.
Even if Billie Eilish herself has said she failed at fostering, we think she didn’t fail so much as she realized that it was meant to be with the pup she decided to adopt. And we can’t help but think that in the end this is the best news ever because not only did she make sure that these pups were safe, happy and comfortable for the last month, but now we know that these pups have both found their forever homes.
We love adoption stories like this, especially when it comes to celebrities helping to save animals in need.

Billie Eilish live-streamed an intimate show from home with her brother Finneas on Wednesday (April 22) as part of Verizon’s Pay It Forward series.
During the nearly hour-long set, the two siblings spoke about the importance of supporting small businesses during the coronavirus pandemic, thanks to adorable cue cards written by their mother.
“We are encouraging viewers to support their favorite local businesses during this tough time; today, we’re giving extra focus to green and sustainable businesses,” Finneas said to kick off the performance. “I guess, to me, tying this back to Earth Day, the things that are sustainable are the things that are the most important in life, cause they’re the things that are gonna carry us forward and lead to a brighter future.”
With that, Eilish kicked off her performance with her 2019 single “All the Good Girls Go to Hell,” hilariously clarifying beforehand that “as much as people wanna believe that this song is about me being a devil worshiper and being Satan, it’s not about that. It’s about global warming.”
The pop star and her brother/constant collaborator also played through a number of their respective hits, including “Ilomilo,” “Bad Guy” and “Everything I Wanted” by Eilish, as well as Finneas’ “Let’s Fall in Love for the Night,” “I Don’t Miss You At All” and “Break My Heart Again.”

As one of the biggest stars in the world, it’s no surprise that Billie Eilish has her fair share of suitors — and it turns out that one of the men trying to win her heart is Lil Pump.
On Monday, Eilish took to her Instagram Live to perform snippets of the American Beauty score for her fans on the piano. And even though her broadcast should’ve been about the music, the 19-year-old rapper ended up taking it as an opportunity to spam the broadcast with thirsty comments.
Amongst Pump’s public declarations were things like, “Lemme take u on a date” and “Your [sic] the love of my life.” However, the comment that seemed to finally catch Eilish’s attention was one that read, “Plz lemme wife you.”
And her response? An uncontrollable burst of laughter. And while Eilish initially tried to keep it cool by saying, “I can’t even tell you what I’m laughing at,” it eventually got to the point where she had to unceremoniously shut him down with a final, “No thanks.”
Granted, Pump seemed undeterred, as he followed up by writing, “I’m serious” — though to Eilish’s credit, she just ignored him.

Normally, if you had to dance with your dad at prom, you’d be hearing about it from your classmates for the rest of your life. Your peers would start a petition to rename your school Remember When Marli Danced With Her Dad At Prom? Memorial High. However, the coronavirus quarantine has softened all of our hearts, and John Krasinski’s heart seemed plenty soft to begin with. That’s why, inspired by the recent viral video of Alabama teen Marli Odgers dancing with her dad in lieu of her canceled school function, Krasinski threw a virtual prom on his Some Good News YouTube channel.
Joining the actor were Least Likely To Be Named Prom Queen And Thus Most Likely To Win singer Billie Eilish and the Jonas Brothers, with two brief cameos from Chance the Rapper and Krasinski’s Office mate Rainn Wilson. Overall, at least as fun as our actual physical prom, minus the $$$. Hope you enjoyed, Class of 2020!
