CNN: Age ain’t nothing but a number. In Billie Eilish’s case though, it’s a big deal.

The pop singer-songwriter is 17 years old and the first artist born in the 2000s to hit No. 1, thanks to her debut album “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”
She’s also the youngest woman to hit No. 1 since 2009 when Demi Lovato debuted with “Here We Go Again” at 16.
Here’s four other things you should know about Billie Eilish.

She’s the daughter of two actors

Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell was born to Maggie Baird and Patrick O’Connell on December 18, 2001 in Los Angeles.
Her mother, Baird, is known for her work on the film “Life Inside Out” and video game “Mass Effect 2,” while O’Connell, her father, appeared in the movie “Iron Man”and TV show “The West Wing.”

Billie Eilish has basically blown up since the release of her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, and acquired a ton of famous fans.

Justin Bieber apparently followed her and Dave Grohl showed up to Ellen to watch her perform after previously comparing the hype around the artist to Nirvana in the ‘90s. Also, Angela Kinsey, who plays Angela in The Office, celebrated the singer’s debut album.

Now, she has a couple of new fans— scene queens themselves Hayley Williams from Paramore and Avril Lavigne.

Eilish posted a photo on her story Sunday of a tweet Williams posted praising her music.

“I am a grown woman losing her shit to this new @billieeilish. How I feel right about neow…” Wililams tweeted.

Eilish posted a screenshot on Instagram, reasonably losing her mind about the whole thing.

Billie Eilish is now the youngest-ever female solo act to top the UK album charts.

The 17-year-old US singer’s debut, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? went straight to number one, with a combined 48,000 sales.

She breaks Joss Stone’s 2004 record by about two months.

It’s also the second-fastest selling record of the year, but still some way behind Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next, which shifted 65,214 units in week one.

“We worked really hard on this album,” Eilish told the Official Charts Company.

“Thank you for the love!!”

An old soul trapped in the body of the style-savvy teen, 17-year-old Billie Eilish has been making waves and expanding her international fanbase for a few years now. And with the release of her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? she’s about to cement her name on the rebels-with-a-cause wall of fame. Mixing dreamy with creepy and going from soothing to frightening in a matter of seconds, the record is a master class in minimalism, feminism, escapism and any other –isms you can come up with. Billie is fully in control and in her element here, becoming a poster child for risk takers and dreamers of all ages.
